(RowA/EX.1) This template attempted to get as close to the high school model taught. A mix of white space along with consistency in font color and shading colors present the information in a clean list layout.
(RowA/EX.2) The all black and all centered font was an attempt to oversimplify the layout with intentions of a professional look but resulted in an underwhelming presentation. The white space gained by increased margins is pleasing but the lack of variety from labels and information that follows leaves the presentation lacking.
(RowA/EX.3) Similar to RowA/EX.2, this example keyed in on maximizing white space. The result isn't unpleasing to the eye with some altering of font size and a differentiation between font colors as well. It looks more like a poster than a resumé but depending on quantity of information being put into a resumé, a less is more layout such as this could be beneficial.
(RowA/EX.4) This example is attempting to incorporate some professional characteristics from PR releases with the consistency of font, lack of shapes and lines, and also the block alignment of the name and contact information.
(RowB/EX.1) This template took the strong dividing shape layout concept from RowA/EX.1 but rearranged the contents attempting to find a more aesthetically pleasing final product, as well as organize the contents of the reumé by what may be more important to that individual opposed to that which schools teach applicants should advertise as most important (extracurricular > schooling).
(RowB/EX.2) Similar to RowA/EX.2/3, this template looked to seize white space. rearranging the contents by adding the academic history and contact information under the applicants name, opposed to designating their own section of the page, allowed for the page tot breathe better without feeling underwhelming as other examples.
(RowB/EX.3) This changed the listing format of the applicants information from bullet points to a side by side column with the according dates. Combining the strong shape and shading layout with one that allows the margins to breath, the inconsistency gives you a taste of both.
(RowB/EX.4) This example got away from strong shapes while still going for the listing format. It reveals the necessity of strong shapes, shading, and font color altering to maximize that layout. The white space gained is also not as satisfying because is is not coming from the margins.
